Publication Policy

STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research is committed to the principles of academic ethics, transparency, and accessibility in scholarly publishing. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo an editorial pre-evaluation followed by a double-blind peer review process and are assessed according to scientific criteria. Throughout the process, the identities of authors, reviewers, and editors remain confidential. Evaluation is conducted within the framework of impartiality and academic integrity.

STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research adopts an open access publishing policy. All published articles are freely accessible online. An Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied to manuscripts submitted to the journal. The APC is ₺2,000 and is collected after acceptance. This fee covers editorial workflow, technical preparation, page layout, digital publishing infrastructure, and open access costs.

Submissions are first subjected to an editorial pre-evaluation. Scope compliance, formal requirements, and basic ethical and originality checks are conducted. Manuscripts deemed suitable proceed to the double-blind peer review process. Reviewer reports and editorial correspondence are documented. These records ensure traceability and accountability.

All articles published in STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research are released under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license. This license permits the use of content for academic and non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given. Commercial use falls outside the scope of this license.

STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research adheres to internationally recognized principles of publication ethics. In cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, “salami slicing,” unjust authorship, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, the editorial process is suspended. When deemed necessary, correction, retraction, or expressions of concern are applied. This framework is aligned with COPE principles.

Authors acknowledge that they have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work. Authorship order is determined by mutual agreement. Contribution statements and acknowledgements are provided accurately. Funding sources and conflicts of interest are disclosed transparently. Undeclared conflicts of interest are subject to editorial action.

STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research maintains an open access publishing model. Authors retain their personal, academic, and intellectual rights over their manuscripts. Copyright, licensing, and archiving policies are announced on the journal’s website. Submission of a manuscript signifies acceptance of this framework.

In cases of post-publication error reports or ethical concerns, correction and retraction procedures are implemented. Author appeals are evaluated within defined procedures and timelines. These mechanisms constitute the foundation of trust in scholarly publishing.
