- STA Journal | Journal of Art and Design Research adheres to the principles of academic integrity, scientific ethics, and good publishing practices. All works published in the journal are evaluated in accordance with these ethical standards.
- Submissions to the journal must be original. Ethical violations such as plagiarism, duplicate publication, salami publication, data fabrication, or data falsification are not tolerated.
- Authors bear full responsibility for their works. They are legally and academically accountable for the scientific content, the data used, and the views presented in their manuscripts.
- Authors must not list individuals who have not contributed to the work as authors, nor exclude those who have made significant contributions. The order of authorship must be determined by mutual agreement among all authors.
- For studies involving human participants, the processing of personal data, or research requiring ethics committee approval, the relevant ethical permissions must be obtained. Manuscripts for which the required approvals have not been secured are excluded from evaluation.
- Authors are obliged to disclose any direct or indirect conflicts of interest. Undeclared conflicts of interest are considered ethical violations.
- The peer-review process is based on the principles of confidentiality and impartiality. Reviewers may not share any information or documents related to the manuscripts they evaluate with third parties.
- Reviewers are required to provide objective, constructive, and academically grounded evaluations. Personal, derogatory, or unsubstantiated comments are not acceptable.
- Editors are authorized to initiate investigations, suspend, or terminate processes in cases of suspected ethical misconduct. Editorial decisions are made in accordance with principles of academic ethics and impartiality.
- If an ethical violation, a serious error, or a circumstance that undermines scientific reliability is identified after publication, actions such as correction, retraction, or removal may be implemented.
- In examining and resolving allegations of ethical misconduct, the journal follows relevant national and international ethical guidelines and may request additional information from authors, reviewers, or relevant institutions when necessary.
- Personal data processed during the evaluation of submissions are handled in accordance with applicable legislation and used solely for the purposes of conducting editorial processes.
